Having been a 'manny' for a number of years in my early twenties, I returned from a year's teaching in China earlier this year. (you may be able to guess why I returned). I would now like to jump back in to the world of daycare. Experience: Starting whilst at university, I have provided childcare for two families, both of whom had two boys aged around seven and nine. Before this, I initiated a two week work experience at the primary school my younger sister attended. The same sister who has provided me with the more informal childcare experience over the years! I have also previously volunteered at a local kids club for a few months as part of my Duke of Edinburgh award, taking the baking class. At times challenging with a group of five or more young children and a big bag of flour. I saw it as an achievement if I was able to take out anything remotely cake looking out from the oven! As well as this, I have experience Au Pairing for an Italian family, where I formed a strong bond with their boy.
