I completed my ‘National Diploma in Children’s Care,Learning and Development Level 3’ in 2015 to a triple distinction grade. As part of this course I attended 5 different placements at various childcare settings working with children of all ages. After finishing my course I worked in a busy Pre-School with children aged 3-5, carrying out daily tasks and routines,planning activities for the children and creating observations to track development. After leaving this job due to relocation I became an agency child care practitioner, as part of this role I attended many different settings to assist when nurseries needed staff to cover absence, this role helped me to be able to adapt quickly to different environments and teams of people. I also have experience caring for children with English as their second language as I volunteered in Nepal for 3 months teaching primary aged children about water, health and sanitation as part of a charity organisation. My most current job experience is within the hospitality sector but I am really trying to get back into the childcare sector as this is what I find the most rewarding!
