Childcare in Thirsk

| Hi, my name is Andrea. I’ve been working with children (0-17 years) in nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools, ACE schools and as a nanny for the last eight years. Watching ‘little caterpillars turning into butterflies’ became my passion – all the ‘wow moments’ when children’s eyes sparkle are worth living. I always see a glass half full. My setting: • Unfortunately, I do not offer school pick-ups or drop-offs. • Outings everyday if weather allows, i.e.: library visits, nature walks, playgrounds, playgroups, café, etc. • Child-led approach with some planned activities – children will learn through play. • We will enjoy jumping in puddles, climbing trees, listening to stories and using our imagination in pretend play. • We will also go to a café for a treat and to learn manners. • Working in close partnership with parents • Safe, worm and loving home-to-home environment • I accept all Government funding, vouchers and tax-free childcare. • Hourly rate (£9/h) is all-inclusive; outings, nappies, food and snacks are included.

| I am a healthy and active person with over 32 years of experience of personal childcare experience and of running a home. I've worked in a nursery and out of school club. I am degree educated and have worked with adults and young people for the local council for more than two decades offering advice on careers and learning. I enjoy family life and I care for my own grandchildren regularly. I seek part time employment (ideally 8 to 16 hours per week) with a family requiring support with light household duties, helping with the children, walking the dog, cooking or baking, laundry etc. I am versatile in the home whether it's reading with the children or cooking the dinner. I am seeking a role of mother's (parental) help within a busy family rather than a specific childcare role.
