Childcare in Chislehurst

| Hello, my name is Zoe and I'm 25 years old and I live in Chislehurst. I enjoy reading, outdoor activities and I enjoy making my own cars for birthdays and special occasions. I believe that children learn best through play and fun activities. I enjoy providing creative activities suitable for children in all areas of learning, I also enjoy fun days out as I think it is important for children to explore and socialise, learning about the world around them with the concent of parents. I have always worked with children since leaving school, I gained my experience through working in a stay and play based in a place for parents and children to come and play, where my team would provide activities, I worked there from the age of 16-19. At the age of 19 I began my working in a nursery where I gained my nvq level 2 and nvq level 3 in childcare. I have experiences of working with all ages from the nursery as it ranges from newborns to preschoolers, but my main experience is with 2-4 year olds. I then moved onto another nursery, I have been there for 2 years, based with ages 6 months - 2 years.

| I am a recently graduated TA at a primary school. I work 7:30am-1:10pm on a week day in Chislehurst. My job involves supervising an 8 year old with a Hickman line and feeding tube and supporting the class he is in with the curriculum, giving extra help to children with mixed abilities, special needs and those who do not have English as their first language. I am first aid trained and DBS checked. I also have experience working with children during vacation employment for the last two years working for an activity camp for 4 - 14 year olds as a Group coordinator. I manage anywhere from 15-25 children ensuring their safety, health and welfare throughout the day whilst leading engaging activities that promote their well-being. The position has improved my ability to adapt from the unpredictable challenges that come from working within childcare. I also volunteered at my extra-curricular theatre school to teach younger pupils acting, singing and dancing working towards productions, fuelling my interest in performing arts and encouraging others to pursue such a creative outlet. It involved keeping the children occupied, supervising them at lunchtime and assisting with costume changes backstage.

| I am a early childhood education graduate with 4 years experience in child care. I have worked in nurseries, after school clubs and I have done baby sitting over the years. I have done pick ups and drop offs without a car. I am currently taking my driving lessons which I know would be useful while being a nanny.

| I’ve had experience babysitting young children as I’ve grown up, as well as this once a week every week I look after my niece who is two years old all day and night. These experiences have helped me gain a new perspective into childcare and how fun it is to be part of these children’s lives and make their day, whether that’s by going on a walk, Going to the park, doing an activity, or having a yummy meal.
