Kia Ora, my name is Caitlin I am 20 turning 21 from Aotearoa New Zealand. My heart craves to travel and immerse myself in the diverse cultures of the world while connecting with and supporting the development of our Tamariki around the world. My first experience working as an Au Pair was during the pandemic when I moved down to Hokitika in the south island, to be a live-in nanny with an 11-month-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. when the time came and I had to sadly say goodbye to the family I moved back home and back to hospo. After a few months, my heart wanted to be back with the kids and from here I applied for my first full-time role as an unqualified ECE teacher at a local kindergarten. I really cherished my time at the daycare and developed some strong connections with both the Tamariki(children), Whanau (family), and Kaiako(teachers). With the pandemic starting to allow borders to open I figure now is the best time to get out and see the world with the future being uncertain. I thought what is a better way to see the world than to exchange my compassion, love, values, and culture for your trust language, culture, and allowing me to be a part of your family.
