Child Care in Bolton

| Hello families! My name is Melanie and I am 32. I am a certified K-6 teacher (just graduated!) and an RECE, living in Bolton L7E. I currently teach a preschool-Kindergarten math program online through Outschool, but looking to supplement it over the summer with some in-person sitting near me, preferably 1-3 full days regularly to accommodate my online schedule, but open to more/less hours and on-call! A little bit about my experience: I have 10+ years working with children of all ages, abilities, and in a multitude of settings. I studied Early Childhood at Ryerson, so the early years are my passion but I love working with any age-group. Most recently I was an RECE in Toronto for nearly 5 years, but before that I worked as a full-time summer nanny for several families. I am a positive, responsible, loving caregiver and passionate educator. I am happy and confident implementing educational activities! I am willing to do some light meal prep for your children and clean up after ourselves. I have had a few different experiences caring and working with children in many different fields, including elementary school jk-gr 5, a parent child centre as well as privately owned day care centres. My role consisted primarily of preparing daily crafts/activities that related to specific areas of development and age. Also to provide emotional support and guidance to the children under my care. Since I was young I always enjoyed taking care of children. I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity to experience child care after my aunt had her first and second child and I worked for her as a live in nanny for two summers. This inspired my decision to attend college and receive my diploma in early childhood education and then go on to receive my university degree in leadership in early childhood education. Seeing the growth and development of a child always amazes me, particularly because it is so heavily influenced by the people and experiences in their life. This is why I strongly believe that anyone who works with children has to be able to provide them with the correct environment, not just to support their academic growth but also their social, emotional and physical growth.

| Throughout my time as a caregiver my main duties are to supervise and care for children of all ages while creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. I help them with their daily routines and tasks (ex. getting ready for bed, homework, making dinner, social outings, housework, nap time, etc.) I have also been taking care of children since I was 14 years old. I have two younger siblings and all of my cousins are younger than me. I have also babysat for neighbours and family friends on a regular basis.

| Hi there! My name is Monique and I am a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa with a BA in communications! I have 5+ years experience caring for children between the ages of 1 to 9 years old, as well as twins! I love to nurture and grow children's creative, curiosity and keep them active! I'm an athletic, outdoors-loving individual who loves to keep up a healthy life and incorporate those values into childcare! I am first aid and CPR certified as well as have access to my own vehicle!

| I’m the eldest sibling out of 3. I’ve always helped watch over my siblings & younger cousins growing up. I also have experience taking care of children out of family too. I enjoy cooking/baking, reading bed time stories, arts & crafts , helping out with homework , and playing games.

I have 3 daughters ages 20, 22 and 25 While being a stay at home mom I have provided babysitting services for children from the ages of 4 months to 13 years of age. I come from a family of 6 children, I have 14 nieces and nephews that I enjoy caring for when needed. I've been around children most of my life. I enjoy children of all ages. Growing up, from the age of 12, I've been babysitting cousins from the age of 5 months to 13 years old. I love and enjoy being around children at all times.
