| Hello! I'm Tessa, thank you for taking the time to review my profile! I have been taking care of children of various ages for 10 years. My experience includes: babysitting various children in my area, with ages ranging from 6 months - 16 years of age. I also enjoyed facilitating summer camps and spent several years working at a Family Education Centre. I have graduated with a diploma in Child and Youth Care, which has provided me with the knowledge of child and adolescent development, behaviour management and individual program plans. I’m good with kids and enjoy spending time with them as i have a lot of experience with child care. | I used to babysitter my younger sister when I was like 13, she was only 3 years younger but my mom would still get me to look after her. I babysat my mom's friend's 3 children. Twins that were 2 and a 6 year old. I handled it pretty good, feed them, have play time with them, and cleaned/bathed them and put them to bed. Also used to babysit my cousin's children, aged 7 or 8 and the other one was 11 or 12. They were big into technology, so most of the time they would be on their electronics but I always made them get out of the house and spend some time outside, also cooked meals for them, and helped out my cousin with her house work, and my cousin also had 2 dogs, so I don't mind animals at all.

I an kind and considerate but can be fair but firm when needed. I have my own reliable transportation and a clean driving record. I have had a criminal record check and vulnerable records check done in Oct 2018, but could get a more up to date one done if required. I love sports, especially basketball and I am currently the head coach of my daughters U12 basketball team, and coached my son's team last year. I play in a women's league in metro and I played professional basketball in Germany for several years many moons ago. I don't smoke or do drugs and do not want to work in a smoking environment. I have a supportive husband and able to do overnights, evenings and weekends. I currently work as a recreation therapist in LTC and I'm looking for some part time or short term jobs to earn some extra income.
