Child Care in Lower Sackville

I have two children of my own ages 20 and 16. I have worked in daycare settings and also schools as an educational assistant with children with special needs I've worked with autistic children and behaviour children as well. I have a love for working with kids I stayed home and raised my children and when they were older went back to work now due to changes I am looking to get back into looking after children in there home or mine I do have a severe nut allergy and can't be around any nuts or peanut butter at all which makes it hard to work in the public so I thought I would try and get back into home childcare. I am a loving caring person who loves children of all ages.

| I was a teacher for over 20 years now and have 5 grown children of my own. I am able to offer a plethora of skill sets.I breastfed all of my own children, the longest was breastfed for 5 years and I tandem nursed too. I understand the delicate balance between working outside the home and caring for your own children too. I am an accomplished musician and painter. As well, I am very much into holistic health and well being of a child, alongside conventional standards. I am extremely versatile and flexible to a mother’s needs.

| Hello my name is Megan and I like to have fun! My favourite things to do are all about imagination and helping kids discover new and exciting things in the world around them. I particularly enjoy reading books, doing art activities, and going on adventures (from the grocery store to a park or museum!) I like to be silly, and encourage kids to do the same. My experience: 10 years as a lifeguard/swimming instructor, 5 years running EXCEL programs, and at least 10 seasons working summer camps. My deal-breaker: I am NOT able to be in a home with a dog due to severe allergies. Sorry Fido!

| If you have ever met me, it’s sure to say that you know I love kids! I have been in the childcare industry for many years now (9+) and I can safely say that all of the kids have enjoyed me just as much! I have a lot of patience and am someone who can definitely take control of a situation if need be, but everything is always a friendly, playful and welcoming atmosphere. I love to keep parents up to date if they request to be, because I understand sometimes it’s hard to leave your kids behind and trust they are in good hands. With me, I can insure you they are in the best hands, and that you will always be notified about the days progress. I am a very responsible and easygoing person, and I enjoy tidying things up as well.
