I am a nurse with over 30 years within the field and currently employed at a Hospital in Birtinya. My hours vary each fortnight which can make fore planning quite difficult but I normally have a roster around a week in advance. I am looking for a nanny that can be flexible and sometimes available at short notice. Myself and my 12 yrs old twins currently reside in Aroona but are about to relocate to Baringa in the Aura development around mid October. My husband is in the Australian Defence Force and because of his posting locations is not able to reside with myself and the children. This has resulted in myself having to undertake the role of a sole provider to parent and work. The girl twin has Downs Syndrome but is very mobile and toilets herself. She needs a hand to shower and dress but is able to feed herself (Gluten Free diet which I keep well stocked). Her twin brother is your normal active sports loving 12 yr old who eats everything in sight. He is a great helper and looks out for his sister. Most times I just need someone who can be at our home for the children when they finish school. Our daughter has bus transport supplied which takes her to and from Currimundi Special School. Our son attends Meridan State College and I am looking into transport for him. On the odd occasion one or both of them may need to be dropped off / picked up from school. Sometime I have night or afternoon shifts where I require care until I arrive home. There is the occasional morning shift where I would need assistance but very rarely. I have an adult daughter who tries to help out when she can but is currently busy with her Sunshine Coat University studies. If you think that you are well suited, have tolerance for special needs, and prepared to provide care for my children then I would love to hear from you. My only set back is that with two children in care, cost will obviously have to be considered.
