Reliable, trustworthy housekeeper
| Housekeeping is a crucial aspect of maintaining a clean and organized living space, and my experience in this field has taught me the value of attention to detail and efficiency. I have worked as a housekeeper, taking care of various light duties, such as dusting, vacuuming, and washing dishes. Additionally, I have gained experience in doing laundry, making beds, and organising closets. One of the essential skills I have developed in this role is the ability to prioritise tasks based on their level of urgency and to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines. It is also vital to have good communication skills to understand the homeowner's preferences and to provide high-quality service that meets their expectations. Overall, housekeeping has been a fulfilling and rewarding experience that has allowed me to hone my organisational skills and attention to detail, contributing to a clean and comfortable living environment. I am a local Noosa girl and am willing to travel for jobs, open to negotiating hourly rate. references available on request. I also hold a current Blue Card (includes police check) and accept cash or bank transfer. Please feel free to contact me for further details.
Great pleasure to have Millie helping me with cleaning at home. On time, well spoken and gets on with a job that is very well done."

Realible and organized person
| I am a responsible and organised person. I have experience to work as a cleaner and housekeeper in different hotels and houses. I am proactive and I like to have everything impeccable and tidy.
Veronica looked after our 6 month old son for 3 days and she was great. She was attentive to his needs and played with him well, and even managed to deal with his bottle refusal! By the end of the 3 days they had really bonded, and my son lit up when he saw her. I recommend Veronica to anyone looking for someone to care for their child."

Reliable and EXPERIENCED House keeper.
| I've had 2 years experience with house keeping. I am pretty much good with general cleaning - floors, mopping, sweeping, dusting, laundry etc.. I have a couple references and I have no problem with kids or pets.
Asavari has worked for us on multiple occasions after connecting through Care.com A. has been awesome! Kind, warm, friendly, and trustworthy. Sadly for us we really need someone with driver's license right now, but otherwise we would have snapped A. up permanently for sure. She has been amazing and really helped us out in the short term. A. has shown initiative, great work ethic, flexibility, care and responsibility in helping to look after our children, keeping them occupied and safe, walking them to and from sports activities, as well as helping with cleaning and tidying duties around the house. Our life was hectic and overwhelming but then A. walked in the door, and she really helped bring back some much needed order and calm :)"

I take pride and care in my work. You will be delighted with the results.
| My friends are delighted with my own housekeeping. I have a pleasant demeanour. Am punctual and get the job done.
Maria has been looking after my 8 year old son and helping with household chores for the last few months, which has been excellent. She picks him up from school, does homework and other activities (eg. board-games, music), prepares meals and helps with other chores (eg. dishes, vacuuming). She is very reliable, flexible and sensitive, and I would not hesitate to recommend her for other families."

FAQs for finding a housekeeper

How can I find house cleaning services near me?

Finding a housekeeper located nearby is convenient for both parties—you can reduce travel costs and find reliable help for the long haul. Additionally, your chances of finding someone to clean at short notice or on the weekends increase if they are close at hand. When you’re searching on the website for a house cleaner, filter the results of your search by location to show only cleaners in close proximity.

How can I find a professional house cleaner who will do a good job?

A professional domestic cleaner who is good at their job will know which tools and products they need to get the work done. They’ll either provide the tools and products or tell you exactly what to have on site. The house cleaner should ask you plenty of questions to make sure that the cleaning is done effectively, thoroughly, and in line with your expectations. Ask for references and check the website reviews to see if other families have had a good experience with the domestic cleaner you’re hoping to hire.

What is the average hourly rate for a professional domestic cleaner in Australia in 2024?

Housekeepers tend to charge an hourly rate of AUD 24 to 30 on average, but the rate per hour may be as low as AUD 20 or as high as AUD 45. Highly experienced domestic cleaners tend to ask for a higher rate, especially if they bring their own cleaning supplies or make themselves available at short notice. Additional services that might increase the hourly rate include doing laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, deep cleaning, and bond cleaning.

What kind of tasks can my housekeeper complete?

Many housekeepers offer a wide variety of services while at your home or office, including: • Ironing • Laundry • Vacuuming • Sweeping • Dusting • Mopping • Indoor window cleaning • Deep cleaning • Appliance cleaning • Bond cleaning • Grocery shopping • Pet care • Watering plants While a domestic cleaner may also be happy to babysit children, they may find it unreasonable to be asked to babysit and clean at the same time. Make sure to clarify exactly which tasks you expect from your domestic cleaner in advance.

Should I leave my housekeeper instructions?

Even if you meet your housekeeper in person the first few times to outline your expectations, a friendly greeting with instructions will never go astray. This can be useful to refine processes as you get to know your domestic cleaner’s work style. Some examples include: • Specific preferences (e.g. “Please store the children’s plates on the bottom shelf so they can set the table”) • Circumstances that might change their routine (e.g. “Please do the vacuuming first today because I’ll be getting home from a night shift at noon and need to sleep”) • A thank you or some positive feedback
