Hello! We are 2 dynamic professional families looking for a special individual to do before and afterschool care for our combined 4 children. Our homes back onto each other and the kids are all good friends, using the gate between our yards to access each other’s homes. The Hours: 22 hours per week 7.15-9.15am (roughly) Monday-Thursday 3pm-6.30pm Monday-Thursday There is the possibility for additional hours (up to 8 more per week) eg: for extra household chores and food prep. Pay rate will be between $30p/hr cash or $40p/hr as contractor with an ABN & superannuation etc. The Duties: • Walking the older kids to school each morning and picking them up in the afternoons. Driving (or using our e-bike if you do not have a car) the youngest to childcare and picking her up. • Taking kids to any extracurricular activities as needed • Preparing school lunches • Light grocery shopping (bread/milk/dinner supplies) • Cooking nightly dinner to be shared by both families an either choose to be • Overseeing bath time for youngest child and homework for oldest child • Tidying kitchen and toy rooms before leaving • Picking up dry cleaning and other ad hoc errands as needed The Kids: Family 1: Girl 3, childcare in Abottsford all 4 days & Girl 6, primary school Family 2: Boy 6 & Boy 12, same primary school All the children are quite independent and play well together and autonomously. You will not be required to prepare many specialized activities but rather supervise their creative play. About You: The ideal candidate for this role will be highly experienced with children as well as energetic and dedicated. They must be punctual, committed and have a strong work ethic as we are professional parents who cannot afford our sitters taking frequent days of absence. Our kids love being outside, music, craft, reading and music so an interest in any of these is a plus. They are in childcare or kinder locally two days a week and we are hoping to have a nanny on Tuesday or Wednesday, being days when they are home. The likely hours would be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or similar. There may also be occasions where we need extra days or evenings but these would be discussed and organized in advance pending your availability. We live in Fairfield and there are plenty of local parks and playgrounds that they love. They are also obsessed with the train, as the station is at the end of our street. They are all fun, affectionate little people who are generally pretty well behaved. They love games and going on adventures and excursions. Duties would include caring for the kids, some driving and some meal prep. We would provide you with access to our car, which has seats fitted for all the kids.
