We were customers for 18 months, which was a wonderful experience the entire time...until the very end. Our 7 year old daughter took weekly 30-minute lessons in our home. Her teacher Melissa was so fantastic, super patient and very encouraging. Our daughter made enormous strides, and also participated in 3 recitals, which were top-notch events. And she earned the "Prodigy Award" this past summer. Then her teacher went away to college, and we were not assigned a replacement teacher. I called the owner, who pushed for 45-minute lessons, at a higher cost. We requested to maintain 30-minute lessons. The owner continued to push for 45-minute lessons, but she finally agreed to maintain 30-minute lessons and assign a new teacher. That didn't happen. I called her one week later, and she seemed to forget our prior conversation because she pushed for 45-minute lessons again. I use the word "push" because it felt like sales tactics of "overcoming customer objections". I did not feel valued. I offered to bow out as a customer if she no longer allowed 30-minute lessons, but she ultimately agreed to maintain 30-minute lessons and assign a new teacher. Again, that didn't happen. We never heard from her again. My daughter spent two consecutive Tuesdays (her normal lesson day) staring out the window waiting for her new teacher to walk up to our door, but she was sorely disappointed. And again, my daughter earned the "Prodigy Award" earlier this year - I'm shocked we were treated this way. This company's website has changed quite a bit since we joined - the website now focuses on a 6-month "academy" for $3,000, with no mention of regular weekly lessons. The owner seems to be more focused on money than on providing long-term instruction for existing students - at least that was our experience. Overall, the conclusion of our relationship with Piano For Kids was very unprofessional and greatly disappointing. I do not recommend this company for kids' piano instruction.
