At Lil' Eggheads, we provide educational services that go beyond the traditional scope of tutoring. We are mental health professionals and educators - think of us as education interventionists. In addition to test preparation, academic concepts, andhomework help, we focus on helping kids become more confident, creative, and well adjusted. Each child has their own style of learning. We believe it's our responsibility to meet them where they are at and develop their own unique strengths. We want to help our students foster a love of learning, and empower them to work through any resistance to overcome learning challenges. TEST PREP PROGRAM We prepare children for the Gifted & Talented Exam, AABL, and Stanford-Binet. Our approach is to provide short-term interventions with tangible goals. Instead of drilling students with test questions, our clinically trained interventionists aim to improve executive functioning skills through strategy-based learning. Since these exams are IQ tests, it's imperative to provide strategy-based, concept-driven sessions. EDUCATION INTERVENTION PROGRAM We work with students who are in preschool through 2nd Grade across several academic areas. Traditional tutoring focuses solely on teaching materials and concepts. As clinically trained education interventionists, we look to understand and improve the student's relationship to the material as well as their knowledge of the concept. -Early Literacy -Reading, Phonics, & Decoding -Reading Comprehension -Writing -Early Numeracy & Patterns -Mathematics We work with children to learn their ABCs, letter sounds, and 123s, as well as students in elementary school who are struggling with concepts they're learning at school.
