Lessons with Sakurada sensei are much more than effective, interesting and fun they are a multi-layered experience...the sounds, scents, foods and traditions of Japan are presented in a setting that inspires students.

Sakurada sensei is very organized and always knows how fast or slow she needs to progress with the lesson in order to make sure the information gets across. I would recommend her for anybody who wishes to learn Japanese. Whether they are more interested in the culture and food, or the language, Sakurada sensei is a great teacher.

Sakurada sensei is a great teacher. Her lessons are fun. I really like the information she shares about Japanese culture, especially the food. I hope to get a 5 on the AP Japanese exam.

My son loves his Japanese classes. He is 12 and he started 2 years ago. It is a difficult and challenging language to learn and Izumi makes it interesting and fun. I would recommend it for everyone. =)

Some people are instructors. They provide details about a subject. Others are teachers - they provide inspiration. Izumi combines both in a beautiful pattern. She is exceptionally inspirational in a quiet way and yet is also very detail oriented.
I would HIGHLY recommend her for Shodo lessons. She has been exceptional. I would consider these life changing and am grateful to her for being the catalyst.
