On April 14th, I took my puppy to instavet to address seizure symptoms. They ran blood work and sent her home with only anti-seizure medication, and recommended expensive overnight monitoring. Few days later, her symptoms continued to worsen. In my duress, I never received a diagnosis for my 5 month old puppy. I called the doctor and advocated for Instavet to give me a diagnosis, they responded, "well that's in the air". I refused to take that answer and encouraged the doctor to look at her symptoms and give a diagnosis and begin medical treatment. With much hesitation from the doctor, they agreed to begin steroid treatment that I had to use from prior illness. To address possible head injury, genetic, or hydrocephalus. When getting her medication from my refrigerator, I saw antibiotics and began to give her antibiotics because one of the cause for hydrocephalus is viral. So, I decided to give it to my puppy and tell the doctor when I follow up a week later on Saturday April 24th. My puppy responded well to the medication and I reported to the doctor the medication I gave her. The doctor instructed me to stop giving her antibiotics, and I followed her directions. Unfortunately, April 28th my puppy is currently in the hospital fighting for her life . The new doctor expressed, not understanding why Instavet would instruct me to stop medication that the puppy was responding to. So, I encourage anyone to advocate for your pet and encourage the doctor to address and diagnose our pet without expensive exploratory examinations. So for not diagnosing at initial visit I give them a Zero.

I called InstaVet, in order to get clarification from the doctor regarding the care my puppy received. I was asking for a doctor but they connect me to ELI. At first it was a cordial conversation. During a description of a hypothetical scenario, Eli stated, "most cases financial reimbursement are not given".
