I provide non-medical support through resources and friendship. I am able to provide a thoughtful and proactive approach to support, guide, and empower someone with a chronic condition/terminal illness to have the best quality of life possible while completing their journey. It is an honor and a privilege to be your companion. I am able to help with advance directives, advocacy for end of life wishes, assisting with final preparations like funeral planning or legacy projects, spiritual support, community resource education and information, social activities like life review, senior exercises, guided imagery for relaxation, and most importantly end of life support such as companionship, respite, vigil care at bedside, emotional support now and after, and overnight vigil if need be. I am a multi-credentialed doula with a background as a social worker with 15 years of social work experience and 8 years of hospice experience. I'm a certified social worker with the state of Wisconsin. There are no qualifications for this program other than wanting to work on some of the items listed above. It is my mission to companion as many as possible on their journey so they do not have to be alone, afraid, and/or unprepared for death.
