Member Care

Member Care Representative

This position will assist with member account/profile management. The position requires outstanding spoken and written communication skills, excellent proofreading and editorial skills, and strong computer efficiency. The position will involve direct contact with Care.com members and the candidate must be enthusiastic about working with others in problem solving. The representative must able to take initiative in taking creative, solution-minded approaches to problem solving.

Specific Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming and outbound member contact (phone and email)
  • Member account management/ maintenance
  • Provide members with basic technical support
  • Assist in development and consolidation of correspondence templates
  • Review, proofread, and edit member accounts and profiles
  • Conduct research to determine how we can improve our service offering
  • Assist in development of Member Care-related internal systems
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in service-oriented role is a must
  • Enthusiasm for handling and resolving problems
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and efficiently, and take initiative in offering additional assistance to Member Care and Operations team
  • Demonstrated writing experience, including ability to write clearly, concisely, and with attention to tone
  • Excellent proofreading skills with an emphasis on accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
  • Outstanding spoken communication skills
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills

Product

Product Manager

Care.com is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Product Management team in the position of Product Manager. The individual will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and overseeing the implementation of features and functionality of the Care.com website. The ideal candidate will have previous experience developing product requirements for an online, consumer service. In addition, the candidate must be able to effectively manage cross-functional teams of stakeholders from throughout the organization.

  • Ownership of product requirements for an online consumer service. This includes the requirements gathering process, requirements documentation, and the ongoing maintenance of requirements as the business context evolves.
  • Working directly with stakeholders throughout the company to ensure that a successful product is delivered:
  • Working with business owners to understand and document the product requirements.
  • Working with engineers to communicate product requirements, make trade-offs, and oversee the product implementation and testing process.
  • Working with marketing to understand marketing plans and strategy and ensure the site and reporting platform support those plans.
  • Working with the member care team to ensure that product support concerns are addressed in the product requirements.
  • Working with the finance team to ensure that any revenue generated from the product is accounted for correctly.
  • Driving cross-functional teams to deliver a product which is on-time and in compliance with the product requirements. This includes project scheduling, managing and running meetings, and making the appropriate trade-offs.
