My name is Orlagh. I'm 26 years old and have had various experience of caring for children and children with special needs. Personally, my little sister was born with Down Syndrome. There are 10 years between us so from a young age I was helping to take care of her and have always been learning so much in regards to special care. I have volunteered at St Michaels House Grosvenor School and also at Cheeverstown House. As a result of my sister and her experiences, I have been introduced to her peers within her school and activities and have provided different families with minding their children with special needs ranging from autism, down syndrome alongside cognitive delays and social and emotional disorders. I have also finished a degree in modern music and have based my thesis on music therapy and it's effects/results. I have all the time in the world for children ( I act like one myself most times) and I really do enjoy spending time with them, whatever the day may best consist of!
