To all families who will read this, I am Michelle, 19 years old and basically from Germany and just started my studies at the Limerick School of Art and Design. Last year I went to Scotland to work as an au pair. I took care of a young girl who was 7 and a teenage boy who was 13 for one year. I mostly had to take care of the girl. My main tasks were to pick her up from school, to support her with homework, to entertain her during the afternoons and to cook her and her brother dinner. When I babysit them, we had a few drawing and playing sessions together. In the end, I brang the wee girl to bed and read her out of a children's book until she fell asleep. In general I have more experience in my time during highschool. I was part of a youth volunteer firefighter department in my hometown where I got trained to be a firefighter. In our team where a few younger children, who I took care of when they felt home sick on summer camps or if something was wrong. All in all I can say that I enjoyed the work with children throughout the years a lot. I am motivated, energetic and reasonable. Don't hesitate to ask if there are any further questions.
