Hello Families. I am a 25 year old female from Ontario, Canada who recently moved to Trim Ireland. In college I studied Gerontology ( working with seniors ) and for the last 4 years I have providing care to seniors in nursing homes and independent living homes. My main role is to provide them with social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical programming. Growing up in a big family I started to get a feel for working with children. Having to babysit my younger cousins was the first step in my experience. In 2017 I became an Au pair in Vancouver Canada and worked with 3 children, ages 6, 10 and 14. The 14 year old had special needs and required hands on care including bathing, feeding(G-tube), dressing, and medication including rescue medication when having a seizure. I also worked with other families on my off hours. This includes nannying an 8 month old baby girl as well an overnight nanny for a family of 3 children. All my of jobs included house work and food prep which I am happy to do.
