| As a permanent teacher with YRDSB, I am looking to further my teaching skills and experiences by offering one-to-one or small group tutoring, either in person or virtually.I have worked with the school board for 4 years and have had experience in the educational field for 7 years. I have attained a bachelor of education, as well as a Masters of Science in Education. My teaching philosophy focuses on the use of hand's on, engaging activities that incorporate multiple intelligences to ensure the child truly understands what they are learning. I offer a free 15 minute phone call or virtual call for a brief conversation as a way to introduce myself, get to know the needs of the child and the wishes of the parents/guardians to ensure I am a good fit for your expectations.

| I have been a writing tutor at the University of Regina, helping adult students with their academic papers, theses, and essays. I also worked as an assistant teacher in a grade 5/6 classroom in a Catholic community school, and tutored an ESL student from China. I have an undergraduate in Engineering and a Masters in Creative Writing. I'm also working towards getting my first book published! In my spare time I like to read and swim.

I have been tutoring for 9 years. For 2 years it was paid experience on top of volunteer work. I voluntarily tutored science and English in High School. This was just to help friends. While in High School, I also taught English and Vietnamese to kids at a Sunday School as volunteer work. This was just to help Vietnamese kids here understand more about Vietnam, and to help new Vietnamese kids learn English and overcome culture clash. In college, I started working as a tutor and tutored Biology and Algebra. I also helped out my classmates with English and Biology.

I am a 22 year old graduate from Wilfrid Laurier, obtaining my Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences in June. I have experience in babysitting and tutoring for several years since I was 12 years old. I babysat my neighbour's 3 boys since they were all born, for 4 years until I went away for university. I am patient and kind and listen to what children need, this is what makes me an excellent worker with children of all ages. During my studies in university I also tutored chemistry and biology. During my last year in university, I was an Teacher's Assistant (TA) and was responsible for teaching a class of 30 first year biology students, marking their work, and helping them with any additional academic questions they had. In addition, I took part of the Health Sciences Students Association at school where I would be responsible for providing younger students with review sessions for specific classes before their midterm and final exams. I really enjoy working with children as I am starting Optometry in the fall and expect to be specializing in pediatrics.

I have taught a class of 20 preschoolers before and have been a private tutor for many years as well. I was an A student at the University of Waterloo and graduated with a double major. I believe there is nothing more important than education, and it must be started at a young age.

| I have experience tutoring throughout high school. I excelled in all my courses, graduating with an average of 97% and continuing my studies in neuroscience at York University. I earned various mathematics, biology, psychology, English and geography awards throughout my years in high school. I try to make learning interesting by using memory tactics such as association to real life events, therefore, making the content easier to remember and understand. I feel that I could be a great asset to helping elementary and high school students learn and succeed.
