My current and previous experience tutoring and teaching in Toronto and York Region has allowed me to develop strategies for differentiated instruction to ensure the success of all student, at all levels of achievement.

| I volunteered with Frontier College throughout my undergrad. I was volunteering in a community centre with kids aged 4-7 for an after school program, then I was inside a classroom assisting a teacher, and I also helped out with teenagers at an after school program. I worked as a private tutor, focusing mainly on math and chemistry for high school kids, but I also tutored grade 5/6 math and also English for children. I, myself, was tutored both privately and through programs as a kid, so I am very aware of how kids learn and what is the most efficient way of getting kids to absorb knowledge. I also thoroughly enjoy the process of explaining concepts and helping kids learn new concepts.

| My tutor experience varies from working at Kumon and teaching children of all levels, as well as managing the Junior Kumon services where I would work individually or in a group setting with younger children of all types of academic backgrounds. I have also tutored kids privately for a few years in areas of reading/writing comprehension and mathematics. I am a York University graduate in the field of health studies, and I am beginning nursing school in September. Aside from my academic qualifications and experiences, I also have a passion for helping out within the community. Tutoring students will give me the opportunity not only to aid in the development of their academic skillsets, but to also learn from them and develop a more knowledgeable and multidisciplinary mindset, when working with a variety of individuals. Helping others achieve their goals and seeing them satisfied and happy with their accomplishments is rewarding, and I enjoy being apart of such experience.
