I have over 20 years of experience supporting individuals with differing neurodiversities. As an educational assistant creating and maintaining safe, equitable and empowering learning environments is imperative to meaningful inclusion. And as a respite care provider supporting neurodiverse individuals within their communities, provides opportunities for voice, choice, agency, and empowerment throughout daily activities as we create new experiences to learn and grow from.
Working together with families, agencies, and schools is imperative to a well-rounded and person-centred support plan. Collaboration with all stakeholders, which includes those being directly supported by me, is at the forefront of my practice. I enjoy getting to know people and building strong relationships that are built on trust, transparent communication, and mutual goal-setting.
