I have a BA in both Psychology and Early childhood education. I am a happy go lucky, warm and energetic person. I am open to working within a half hour drive from my home. I worked for ten years in group homes with moderate to severely intellectually handicapped children and young adults. I also worked part time for over five years with an Alzheimers patient and also a person with dementia. With the dementia person, I was responsible for every aspect of his care including the running of his home. I spent four years taking care of a young boy two days a week (6 months old till he started kindergarten. I currently work part time as an animator at the Angelman Respite Center which is a center for both children and adults with intellectual disabilities. (weekends) I enjoy working with both young children and the elderly. I would be open to any position which has a salary of $15-$20.
