I have experience with a large variety of people who have special needs. I worked for an extremely intensive summer camp for four summers where we provided 24-hour care for individuals with a wide variety of special needs, including cerebral palsy, down syndrome, MS, autism, and various other intellectual and physical disabilities. I also have experience volunteering with a program that promoted active living for individuals with a variety of special needs. I have worked with youth who have severe autism, and have been a personal support worker for 3 years. I absolutely love working with people, and my experiences working with those who have special needs have been some of the most amazing experiences in my life. It brings me incredible joy, and I have not found that type of feeling with anything else I've ever done. I have now gone on to pursue a second passion, nutrition, and am currently creating a nutrition consulting practice to bring holistic nutrition to the special needs community.
