Five years of experience in a range of childcare. One year in a daycare on a team as the assistant coordinator. Three years of nannying three boys age 3mo-7yr. One year nannying infant girl and personally assisting single mother. Multiple regular or one time babysitting jobs over years. My favourite part about working with children is the opportunity to be silly and play again and really connect with the children like they're my friends. This connection leads to them better respecting the caregiver (me) while the parent is away and has shown better, more reasonable, reactions to discipline (such as saying "no" to more TV time). I always try and limit TV and screen-time when watching children and encourage games, puzzles, and going outside into nature. I am an "international" student from the states studying nutrition and phytotherapy (plants) and am looking for a part time or casual nanny or babysitting job to fit into my school schedule.
