I started babysitting when I moved to LA 5 years ago, I have babysat 2 wonderful children for 2 solid years. The mother of the children is one of the top 5 Criminal Defense Lawyers in Orange County so she was busy having to balance work like and mom life. We had a great routine; I picked them up from school, prepared them lunch. I had a solid time line for them to be able to finish their homework, then I would drop them off to their extracurricular activities then I'd watch over them during soccer and swimming practices. These kids were on the "Go" due to her mother wanting them to be top performers. I drove them to auditions, brought them to piano, singing, dance and musical theatre classes. I would always treat them to the park at some point during the day and let them play with their friends on the weekend with the mothers consent. I cooked, did light housekeeping as well on top of it all. The mother was home for dinner so we all had some family time, sometimes even cooked together! I now have moved to Vancouver living with my 2 wonderful nieces. I'm on nanny duty whether my sister doesn't need me to be. It's in my second nature to take care of children when they are around! I am very well organized thanks to this experience.
