looking for support for 8 year old boy with autism. He needs someone who is skilled in this area as he can have some physical episodes. But is verbal and able to communicate his needs. His mother is starting work on Web May 8th and school is delayed in registration so we need fulltime care for a few weeks and then part time care after school has started.

I am looking for some one to talk my daughter out in the community. She likes going for walks, playing at the playground and Starbucks tea.

I will be doing medical treatment at hospital downtown for four days over two weeks (Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on April 30th, ending on May 9th). I need a PHW to come pick me up at the hospital after the treatment is done, at around 8:30 am, then accompany me while I walk from the hospital back to my apartment, a 15 minute walk away. We are looking for a caregiver to look after our son and associated tasks (e.g., lunch prep, laundry) from 4 to 7 p.m. five days a week with some weekend hours as needed/available. The job requires four things: 1) a love for kids with exceptional needs and an ability to harness their interests to develop their skills; 2) a desire to learn: our child’s teachers can be pretty prescriptive about what to do when the kids get home with homework or therapy; 3) a drivers license to assist with after school pick ups; and 4) an ability to see what needs to be done and jump in to help with tasks related to our child’s care, such as lunches, laundry, and tidying up. He's an active, energetic, and enthusiastic boy who loves physical activities and being outdoors. He also enjoys various games and creative activities. Self-regulation can be challenging for him and he needs positive reinforcement, encouragement, modeling, and coaching. Be his enthusiastic caregiver and playmate, and provide him with opportunities for physical activity, being outdoors, creative play, and games. Model and coach practical self-regulation strategies. Use positive reinforcement and encouragement to support effective behavioural management.

He is a fun guy! He loves basketball, books (Manga!), animals and drawing. He is a friendly child and makes deep connections with his caregivers. He has ADHD and I am looking for a caregiver that has the balance between compassion, creativity and ability to hold a structure. We live in the Annex and have one elderly cat. Hours are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday 2 weeks in July and one week in August.
