I have many years experience working with children of all ages. I first begun babysitting when I was only 12 years old myself. As I got older I began to work with children more full time. In 2019 I became a nanny for a local family. They had 4 children, aged at the time - 6,4 and a set of newborn twins. Their twins were born prematurely leading them to medically complex health issues. I knew the moment I met this family , I wanted to help them in every way possible. I expanded my skills, learning how to tube feed, administer life saving medications, apply oxygen, dress wounds, monitor for signs of risks and sickness. As the twins become older, we became aware of their developmental delays. We became fast acting in changing our skills with the twins, finding new ways to communicate and achieve positive outcomes.
During my time in childcare I have learnt that the world can be such an over whelming place for children, which is why I believe patience, love and care is so important when it comes to building connections with you and you're little people.
