SCV Piano Lessons are spent not only on technique and knowledge, but also on cultivating a love and understanding of music. Playing and practicing isn't a chore, it's as exciting as playing a new video game! There is nothing more fun or personallyrewarding than playing your favorite song, making people dance, or mastering and performing something that is truly challenging. SCV Piano Lessons are personalized to meet the needs and interests of each student. Students have the opportunity to study a variety of styles and topics, such as classical, jazz and pop music. Additional instruction in music theory, ear training and composition is also available. As students taking SCV Piano Lessons advance they will have the opportunity to perform in recitals for their parents and peers and take premium group classes that teach ensemble playing and theory. I've taught music professionally for over 8 years, from introductory preschool piano lessons to advanced music technology at UC Irvine and music theory at UC Berkeley, where I received my M.A. in Music Composition in 2016. I also studied at California State University, Northridge, where I received my B.M. in Music Composition in 2014.
