About the business
QUESTABOX started in 2009 as a quest of two mothers to find an engaging, developmentally appropriate program that would help their Korean-American children to enjoy learning Korean while preparing them to thrive in a multicultural, multilingual environment. Unfortunately, what they discovered were programs that mostly emphasized traditional approaches such as rote memorization and practice drills. So they did what any entrepreneurs would do; they started their own program!
Today, QUESTABOX s program has grown to combine the best of Asian language instruction with proven and innovative American teaching approaches around project-based learning and maker empowerment, literacy (creative writing and storytelling), STEAM, and community-building.
In the future, we are excited to expand our program to provide a multilingual educational experience for families and students of all backgrounds. We envision a program where students of increasingly diverse cultures come together to learn new languages while also learning from each other. We strongly believe that such a program will instill a sense of pride and motivation for each student to not only learn a second language, but also several other languages, on their way toward becoming citizens of a global community.
