Piano Play Music Systems, Inc., also referred to as the Company or PPMS is a business that teaches its piano teaching methodology in the classroom and through its teaching materials. The success generated by these books has helped to make PPMS one of the largest Southern California privately owned music school. The Company has been in business since 1987, and is headquartered in Sherman Oaks, California with two other locations in Pasadena and Woodland Hills.

Owner and Founder, Sharon Shaheed, BM, MM has developed the Theory Based methodology, and has written and designed the PPMS Books for teaching group piano classes to children as young as 19 months with parent or guardian participation. Ms. Shaheed's goals are directed towards providing a quality, comprehensive teaching methodology and educational products that teach music skills to children in a fun and nurturing way. These goals are presently accomplished in a group setting with parent(s) or guardians participating in interactive classroom games, dancing, singing, keyboard playing, puppets and storytelling.

Piano Play Systems is a Full Service Music Education Curriculum that provides a variety of other services for our student such as:
Group Lesson starting at 19 month to 9 years old.
Private lessons in piano, guitar and singing both on and off site.
Music workshops in song writing, chorus, musicals and more.
Offsite traveling services to private students for parents who want
the convenience of having a PPMS instructor come to their home.
Upon request, we can offer our Piano Play curriculum to day cares, preschools and elementary schools.
Certified vendor by the State of California to teach home-schooled students.
Two yearly recitals for private and group students.
Addition theory lab for private students.
Mainstreaming children with special needs such as: ADHD, sight impaired,
Dyslexia, attention issues, and behavior problems.
