Homewatch Caregivers has been providing in-home care services for more than 30 years; our caregivers are passionate & provide Quality care, they are medically knowledgeable & our online University supports that. Homewatch Caregivers University is a professionally developed, accredited training program for caregivers, family members and the health care community featuring more than 800 accredited course.
Why my husband and I began doing business in the Home Care industry is that about 5 year ago my husband & I all of a sudden found ourselves being caregivers for our parents. As their situation became more critical and out of our range of caring we felt lost and scared. The caregivers we brought into our parent's home provided the family with peace of mind and the comfort they gave to our parents is & was invaluable. Since then our Fathers have passed and we have dedicated our business to our Dads because they brought us to this industry. I are very passionate about being able to provide help to others that find themselves in a similar situation as ours, and letting them know there is help.
The people we serve includes not only the rapidly expanding senior population but people of ALL AGES including special needs youth and adults, new mothers and people recovering from illness or accidents, coming out of the hospital, nursing home and rehabilitation, assist hospice, pre & post plastic surgery & child care. * No minimum on care hours, no deposit - I structure our business with this model because I recognized some people just need a little to get comfortable of having someone in their home; my Mom is one of those people, I would not of been able to get her care if we had to meet a 3-4 hour minimum.

We provide care in Calabasas, parts of Canoga Park, Chatsworth, Porter Ranch, Malibu, Northridge & Porter Ranch and surrounding areas; all of the Conejo Valley, parts of Ventura County & all the areas in between.
Our services include companion, custodial to comprehensive care, assistance with Daily living activities, medical reminders, adhere to diet, and exercise.

When I decided to have knee surgery, I also realized that I would need to have transport to and from the hospital plus in-home care, 24x7 during my convalescence. Kristine Martin is well known and respected by her many friends and associates in the Conejo Valley and when I discovered that she was the Owner/President of Homewatch Caregivers she was my first choice to inquire as to those services available.
We had a meeting at my home to review the services and details including selecting an in-home caregiver. As it happened, on the morning of the scheduled surgery, and to my surprise, there was Kristine herself at my front door at 4:30am "the assigned caregiver couldn't make it so you get me". WOW, was I impressed at her dedication to service. She then drove me to the Kaiser, Sunset for the 5:45am check-in. And there was Kristine again, after the surgery and during recovery, discussing the surgery with the Surgeon and hospital staff.
Three days later, and ready for discharge from the hospital, the assigned caregiver picked me up for transport home. For the next seven days the live-in caregiver provided 24hr care during convalescence. With my limited mobility, it was reassuring to have an excellent round the clock caregiver, for dressing my bandages, medications, assistance with the physical therapy, preparing meals, light housekeeping and even short chauffeur service around town.
During my hospital stay and convalescence at home Kristine was in frequent contact to insure my satisfaction for proper care. She is very proactive and dedicated towards running a quality service with her Homewatch Caregiver business, and she is also a delight to deal with.

Having never gone through an experience like this before, we didn't know where or when to start. With little to no communication from medical staff, we discovered we needed assistance at our home the very same day we needed it. No warning and no time to shop or compare. Fortunately for us, that notice came with Kris Martin. As were being informed of my brother's future needs, Kris was there to assure us they could fulfill those needs. Saving us from any moments of feeling helpless. Our needs were great, constantly changing and sadly shorter of a term than we had hoped. Kris and her staff were there for us from beginning to end. Words can't begin to explain how grateful we are that Homewatch Caregivers came into our lives when they did. Having no idea what we would need for our brother's care, the support from Kris and her staff was so vital and appreciated. The fact that they were able to come to us on day one of our crisis and they were able to deliver as promised, provided the peace of mind our family desperately needed. If this is the status quo for Homewatch, and I suspect it is, I would highly recommend them to anyone who should happen to need home care.

Homewatch caregivers was a real lifesaver for me. On the Friday afternoon before a Monday surgery, the family member who had agreed to help me to and from surgery told me she could no longer help. I called Homewatch, and Kristine took care of the rest. She was very professional, and found drivers to assist me to and from the surgery and the follow up doctor appointment. Kris also helped me later during my recovery by picking up some medicine and supplies from the pharmacy with almost no notice. I highly recommend Homewatch owner Kristine Martin and assistant Barbara for their services.
