had this company in my home to care for disabled daughter. she had a few caregivers and finally ended up with two she liked. one is reliable, etc and my daughter thinks she does a good job. the other one, however, I am sure is cheating on her time as my daughter never signed time sheets for her and she was always fond of leaving after only 30 mins to an hr of work. I understand now they lost their licensing because they forgot to renew. we will see if the one caregiver can be assigned but the other one, pronounced ja mee ah need not return.

I have just completed the process of admitting my love one to a skilled nursing facility. When we decided to let Bright Star help care for our loved one, I met with a rep that came out and shared how caring the company was. I never met any of the owners nor had anyone come out and do a follow up. However, I soon found out that it was just the opposite. My loved one is 83 years, old blind and in a wheel chair. Basically, we needed someone there when they were supposed to be. This did not happen. We went through 3 care associates in less than 6 months. Whenever one called out it was hours before I received a call and most of the time that was to inform me that no one was going to be able to come (never had replacement). I had to leave work on several occasions. The sitters shift starts at 9; I received a call at 1 that the sitter did not come in. My loved one had not eaten, taken meds, or been changed. No one else from the agency offered to go over and fix a sandwich or help. This happen on several occasions. Now there was one occasion where a replacement went over prepared breakfast, gave meds, change the clothes and left for the day. Yes, you guessed it right, No lunch or dinner, no assistance with getting to the rest room. My advice to Brightstar, Don't take the case if you are not staff to handle it.
