Jody Gastfriend, LICSW

Senior Care Expert & Licensed Social Worker

Jody Gastfriend, VP of Care Management at Care.com, is a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience in the field of eldercare.

Jody's broad range of leadership positions include: Director of the Department of Social Services and Case Management at a community hospital, Clinical Supervisor within the Social Service Department of Massachusetts General Hospital, Chief Operating Officer of a 200-nurse Medicare-certified home health care agency, and Director of Adult Care Services within a company serving over 130,000 employees, where she established a successful corporate eldercare division.

Jody has provided expert consultation to individuals, health care organizations, professional societies and corporations in the field of eldercare. She has lectured widely on topics related to aging, eldercare and work/family balance to audiences that include family caregivers, HR administrators, health care professionals and policymakers. She has written numerous articles on caregiving and aging, including a 5-part series published in USA Weekend.

In addition, Jody shares the personal journey of her clients, having helped manage the care of her own parent with dementia for over a decade.

Jody received her BA from Tufts University, Magna Cum Laude and her Masters Degree in Social Work from Simmons College School of Social Work.

Mary Stehle, LICSW

Senior Care Expert & Licensed Social Worker

Throughout her life, Mary has been passionate about supporting families across the lifespan and from a variety of cultures. After watching her mother struggle

with care for her grandparents, Mary suddenly found herself faced with the same challenges when her own parents fell ill.

Drawing upon her personal experience and passion, Mary continues to provide expert guidance to families and seniors on a local and national level. Her areas of expertise range from providing social work services in an adult day health program to helping adults successfully adapt to changes in their living situations. Mary has worked within a large urban human services agency, counseled families at a Massachusetts General Hospital community health center and was a hospice volunteer. At Care.com, Mary provides senior care support to members and expertly guides them through the struggles and rewards of caregiving.

Mary is a licensed clinical social worker and currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lafayette College and her Master of Social Work from Simmons College School of Social Work.

Jill Martinelli, LCSW

Senior Care Expert & Licensed Social Worker

Ever since witnessing her grandmother struggle with dementia, Jill has always wanted to help others in the senior care field. In college, she volunteered at a

nursing home and after graduation started working with adults with mental and physical disabilities. Jill has also worked as an in-home counselor in and around the Boston area, assisting families with a wide variety of familial issues.

Extremely passionate about working with both families and individuals, Jill guides and assists families with determining and locating the right care for their loved ones at Care.com

Jill is a licensed certified social worker. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Gordon College and obtained her Master of Social Work from Simmons College School of Social Work.
