Come and join a circle of parents and caregivers in this Waldorf inspired, outdoor playgroup! We will hike through beautiful forest trails, sing seasonal songs, gather together for a snack, child observation and parent sharing, while the children play, and end with circle time and story.

The goal for our time together will be to foster a sense of connection on all levels. The setting and rhythm will leave lots of time for social interaction amongst the children, and the parents. The grove will act as an outdoor classroom, as the children explore freely, and discover through their senses the many wonders that Mother Nature holds. We will also be holding one another in a judgement free space, as we share with one another the joys and challenges of parenting in these modern times.

Our rhythm for the 6 weeks will be as follows:

Meet at the playground
Take a nice nature walk down into the grove, and up into the winding paths surrounding it, and down again into the grove
Stop for handwashing and a snack, with tea
Discussion on a topic relevant to parenting
Free play for the littles
Observation for the parents
Gather together for a brief circle and story time at the end!

About me: I am a Waldorf trained, early childhood educator of sixteen years, and now a stay at home mom of a fiery four year old. My greatest joy is creating and telling stories, especially to little ones, and luckily for me, my daughter is a rapt audience. I am also a Reiki master and flower essence practitioner in training, and am studying the application of these healing arts specifically for children with developmental delays.
