About

Messy Art Playgroup is a sensory and art based experience for children.

Activities include, but are not limited to, exploring with slime, doughs, clay, mixed media collage, painting, sifting, transferring and more. Playgroup is a time for caretakers to observe and support the children letting them follow their own pace through the experiences set up in class.

Hi!
I am thrilled that you joined Messy Art Lab and I hope that you will have a wonderful time. To make the most of this experience, please follow your child's lead. Step back and observe. I invite you to resist the urge to “show” your child the “right” way because in doing that we end up robbing our children of that magical moment when they discover it all on their own. We truly believe that the experience is more valuable than any end product.
Parents, if you will be sending a nanny or grandparent with your child, please take a brief moment to share the Messy Art Lab approach.

Make sure to dress your child (and yourself) in clothes you don't mind getting messy since some paint might stain.

Make-Up Policy:
-Session: Unlimited makeups for the 8-week Summer Session! Please contact us to reserve your make-up class before 8/10.
While we know it's not always possible, we will greatly appreciate it if you could notify us in advance that you won't be able to make a class, as we may open up a slot for someone on our waitlist.
-Drop-in classes: Cancellations occurring 24 hours or more in advance are credited to your account and can be applied to another parallel event occurring on another date. Cancellations within 24 hours of an event are appreciated but will be charged as if you had attended the class.

Playgroup is not an instructed class. The teacher's role is to set up invitations to play, create a safe and nurturing environment for the kids and help build community for the group.
