| Hi all, I am currently an enrolled nursing student with 6 years experience as a healthcare assistant. I’ve worked in a few rest homes/ retirement villages as well as home-care support and private care. I have experience working for clients with high needs, disability support, palliative care and dementia to name a few. | I was looking after my mother for 14 years she had dementia and couple of strokes feeding her through the feeding tube she was totally dependent on me.

| In ####-#### I cared for my aunty who is 80 years old, she has dementia during my time with her I was preparing her meals, household chores, picking up her prescriptions, doing her shopping and errands as well as companionship, making sure she was comfortable I put on Samoan music, Samoan documentaries or movies on my laptop for her to watch, listen and enjoy. I am also doing casual work as a Healthcare Assistant at a resthome and am also looking to furthering my studies in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 next year.
