The main reason that motivates me to consider a career in caregiving is the personal life experiences I had as an elder caregiver. I was inspired by many elderly people in my own family who I have had many hands-on, personal care and valuable experiences in activities such as, providing personal hygiene(Dressing, bathing, grooming, feeding and toileting), Assisted them with activities of daily living and provided fun companionship, helped in transferring and lifting them, prepare and serve meals, perform housekeeping and laundry duties etc. I would like to take this opportunity to submit my application for the post of caregiver, Having above 2 years of NZ experience, my main focus was to make a difference in the lives of clients and their families. Furthermore to create a relationship with each other client and experience a sense of accomplishment that comes with knowing and fully understand that I have enhanced their quality of life.
