My name is Tanja and I love caring for young children. I am patient, compassionate and understand the needs that young minds have. I have a full drivers licence and car, enjoy healthy cooking, have first aid knowledge and love playing sports and doing artsy projects with children. I also have 4+ years of experience with children between 2-14 years of age. I have discovered this through being surrounded by children in a variety of different environments all based around childcare and development. In 2015 I started a company called 'Sisters of Shred' with the aim of developing a female skateboarding community in Auckland. This was a very special experience and chance for me to really see the impact that a supportive and nurturing environment can have on young children. I have also worked at after school and holiday care centers as well as being a Playball coach. Playball coaching included supporting the development of children's basic motor skills through the use of play. I really enjoy creating an environment where children grow and gain confidence as it is a very big passion for me.
