Hi! I'm Kate and I have experience working as a teacher aide with primary-aged kids within schools in London, Melbourne, and New Zealand and am currently employed as a learning assistant. Part of my TA work has been assisting with toileting, feeding, and hoisitng. My passion lies in supporting children to be confident within themselves and helping others, which is how I came to love being a TA. Babysitting will be a bonus and I look forward to providing fun and safe care for families. I am a creative and crafty person with lots of ideas up my sleeve to keep your children entertained and allow their imaginations to flourish. Building a strong rapport with the children I support is a priority of mine. Their voice matters to me. I am adaptable in my approach to children. Whether your child needs time to be silly and energetic or some calm, gentle, quiet time, I will ensure their needs are being met whilst upholding your household values and routines. I do not have a drivers license, however, I am confident with the Christchurch bus. Furthermore, I am comfortable with pets, cooking, light housework, and bedtime routines.
