| Hello! I'm Paula, I am a Portuguese international student at Niagara College, with 3 years of tutoring experience and two other university degrees under my belt. Over the past three years, I have accompanied several students through either their highschool or intermediate school years, 2-10 hours each week, which allowed me to establish a very positive work relationship with them, adjust my teaching style to their needs, and watch them develop their skills and become better students over time. That aside, I have also obtained vocational trainer certification, which has improved and expanded my teaching skills, making it easier for me to adapt to a student's particular learning style. I have recently completed my minor in English and I continue to work towards my BA in History (honours) and BEd. I have direct experience working with university students. In my third year, I was an executive member of the Brock University Historical Society (BUHS) and helped assist workshops that taught students, how to take an exam, how to write an essay and how to take notes.
