Special Needs Care in St. Albert

| Hi! My name is Christina I am 25 years old, I am graduate from the Special Needs Educational Assistant Program from MacEwan University. I love working with kids, and I am great with kids that need some extra care and help. I have a lot of experience working with children from babysitting and leading youth groups, to working as an educational assistant in a middle school. I am looking for a casual to part time position within St. Albert or close by. I am fun loving, caring, outgoing responsible, and professional. I believe in learning while you play, and inclusiveness.

| I have been working with children and adolescents with various exceptionalities for the last 10+ years. I have experience working with autism, challenging behaviours, and mental health disorders. Currently working with ECSD as a behaviour specialist.

| I have spent a year as an EA with a boy in grade 2 with non verbal autism, as well I have personal experience with 3 boys with autism on a regular basis, with whom I feel very comfortable around. I grew up with my cousin who is also autistic, and have learnt much through him and his parents about understanding his needs. My daughter’s brother on the other side of her family has PCH3, and although I don’t spend a lot of time with him, he is in my circle as well. My closest friend was an EA in the public school board; she is the one with the 3 boys with special needs. She is one of my personal references, as she has seen me on a weekly basis with her boys, and knows how passionate I am about them. My mom has retired from the school system, having been a teacher, vice principal and principal in the Catholic division, and I have learnt much from her both in terms of work ethic and dedication. I understand and appreciate her love for children and teaching, as I feel the same way.

I am seeking full time employment in a dynamic and challenging environment; one which will further enhance my unique skill set and encourage self-growth and development. I have been working in childcare since i was 18 years old and have always had a love for shaping young minds! I have worked with many different needs and behaviors so i come with a lot of different tools and knowledge.

| I currently work Full Time as a Childhood Educator in St. Albert. I am looking for something to do a few nights a week to earn an extra income. I have worked with all kinds of children. Children with special needs, behaviours and more. I am very creative when it comes to planning activities with children. I’m a huge believer in child inspired events, outside activities, and more. | I currently work as an EMTin the oil field working on a two week on two week off rotation, I also work part time with a young man who is on the Autism spectrum and who also has Down Syndome. Before starting work as an EMT I was working with a young girl who has a severe case of cerebral palsy, she is on a ventilator 24hrs a day, fed through a g tube, and has no mobility. I also have years of experience in child care, that ranges from working at a local summer camp to working in a daycare. I'm looking for either another part time position to help fill my schedule or a full time position since the oil field is on spring break up and there is no work.

| My name is Kelton, and I am 18 years old. I am currently looking for a full-time/part-time job as a special needs care support worker. I just graduated high school and am currently taking a year off to travel and work before I start up university. I have one year of experience with special needs teens which really sparked up when I helped start up and now continue to be a leader for a youth group in St. Albert for teens with special needs and disabilities of all different sort. I am an extremely outgoing soul who loves adventure, theatre, sports, and movies. I am trustworthy, responsible passionate, and caring in my work.

| I don't drive but I had only worked with people who have mental and physical disabilities in a day program for 12 years I took them on a bus a city bus or I took a handi bus with them too different activities out in the community in Edmonton. Such as swimming, dances, bowling, shopping, festivals in Edmonton to the movies.
