| My name is Sara and I graduated from the Developmental Services Worker (DSW) program at Algonquin College. I am writing to you because I am interested in applying for a nanny position. I am looking for full time work but can also do part-time/casual. I have the experience and expertise to be a great care worker. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages and experience working with children with special needs. I have worked with many children and young adults with autism as well as ADD and Cerebral Palsy. I have experience as a respite worker, a camp counsellor and an ELA. I am currently in school part-time and online, taking Autism Behavioural Science. I know basic french and I am interested in yoga,swimming,kick-boxing, biking and crafts!

I have gone to school for Early Childhood Education and Autism and Behavioural Science, and I am currently studying psychology at Carleton. Through my schooling I have gone through many co-op placements that have given me hands on experience with different age groups and different levels of functioning. As well I have worked with various children in their homes and have two younger siblings who are on the Autism Spectrum.

| I began working as a placement student in the Catholic board, working as an Educational Assistant for individuals with autism and Down Syndrome in 2015, and then did my second placement working for The OCDSB as an educational assistant in the Longfields Davidson Heights Autism Unit. Once I graduated from the Social Service Worker program at Algonquin College, I worked at Main Street Community Services (group housing and day program) during the summer until I officially became a casual EA for the school board. In January 2018 I got my first term position working as an EA for Chapman Mills Elementary School, where I worked with kindergarten students with autism, Down Syndrome and ADHD. I am currently working as an EA for the school board' summer learning program where I am working with adults with autism but that is ending soon and I will be going back to Chapman Mills in the fall so I am available full time all throughout August and part time in the fall.

| Two people in my family have a disability. One of my cousins has autism and I would help by planning activities or hanging out with him in a quiet place so that he was able to do his thing. I would calm him down by talking to him and letting him know everything is going to be okay. My niece has multiple disabilities where she is visually impaired, is delayed a bit and has many other disabilities. I would babysit and watch her and help her with her daily fitness that she had to complete. I would get her to use to motor shills so that they can develop. The things that I did I learned from my program in recreation therapy. I am a reliable person and will help out in any way that I can.

| I am a very passionate, motivated, energetic teacher, who is prepared to work in various settings. I began my teaching career at Chiltern Way Academy, Prestwood Campus in the United Kingdom. This was a specialist provision for students with Autism and behavioural, social and emotional needs. In addition to teaching dynamic classes with students working at different levels, I also learned to manage significant behavioural needs. Through this experience, I learned how to create and implement engaging differentiated lessons with varied abilities and needs. I utilized the Zones of Regulation in my practice to maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere in my classroom environment. | I have worked as a phlebotomist in a medical lab., supervised 50 residents with all sorts of mental challenges, schizophrenia ,autism, etc.. Finished college in: medical lab technician, medical administrator, and CSSW - community social services worker.

| I have worked for the past year one on one with an adult individual with autism. I aided in educational matters such as math skills and reading skills, social skills such as interactions with other members of the communities and with staff members in the service industry and with therapeutic care such as stretching and exercises to improve coordination. I have also worked at an inclusive summer camp with many members of the youth who suffer from exceptionalities and have learned to accommodate these individuals in order to make their experience the best possible.

| I have worked two years in an early on nursery within a government run daycare. I have worked with children with speech delays, ADHD, Autism and down syndrome.
