My Experience: Ever since I was a girl growing up on a cow-farm, I have been searching for my ideal way to give back to the animals and have gained a lot of knowledge along the way. I have worked as a Veterinary Assistant where I assisted in pre and post-surgical procedures, feedings, giving medication, dental work, restraining, x-rays and overall pet care. Although, I learned that it is not the right employment for me, I also learned to read the signs of sickness and stress that will be a skill I bring to each encounter with pets. I also have experience working with animals that have been through previous abuse causing them to be highly anxious while owners are away. The stress can be quite intense for a pet that has been through a rescue experience. Many of my clients have had difficult times before being with their new owner and I provide the necessary time and patience that it takes for the pet to learn to trust me. | I have been volunteering at a farm for 6 years and raised several puppies for PADS (Pacific Assistance Dog Society) through out the past 4 years. I have also raised rescue cats, dogs, horses and reptiles for 10 years.
