I have experience caregiving, tutoring, and teaching in various forms throughout my life! I was a peer tutor in high school, a nursing lab tutor in university, I worked at a summer camp for five years, mentored adult learners in my role as an RN (11 years experience) and most recently, I worked as a teacher on call for one year, covering K-12. I have a particular passion for science courses and English and fostering reading skills with younger students. I believe in a connecting, student-centred approach and create excitement about improvement. I can develop tailored plans and provide educational resources as needed. I am also available for child care and special needs assistant positions. I babysat beginning at age 12, cared for my own sister who has significant special needs, worked as a care aid during university, and worked as an RN for 11 years. I found that I prefer working in a community setting rather than in a hospital. I deeply value 1:1 connection and building a supportive professional relationship - meeting people where they are at and working with them towards their own empowerment, with an approach based in loving-kindness.
