Growing up, my two favourite activities were reading and making music. Now as a double major honours student in english literature and creative writing as well as a musician in my free time, I'm very excited to share my knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm with a new generation of students. My studies in the english language have helped me to develop highly advanced technical and analytical skills in the subject that are matched only by my love and enthusiasm for it. My time working as an ESL teacher has also taught me to find ways to effectively teach english to students ranging from never having spoken a word of it in their lives to those who are basically fluent, so I can assure you that whether your child constantly has their nose buried in a book or shudders at the idea of reading for fun, I will find a way to ensure that they are engaged in and enjoying our time learning together. Depending on a student's interests, I am also more than happy to find ways to incorporate music into their english lessons (or teach it as a separate subject entirely) to enrich their learning experience.
