Hi there! I am currently a student at Mount Saint Vincent University, taking the Child and Youth Studies undergraduate program. I have been involved in childcare (ages newborn -16 years old) since I was 12 years old and have been in my school program for 2 1/2 years. I have tutored, volunteered with children in low income elementary schools, been a full-time summer nanny and have helped home school on several occasions. I have an updated criminal record check and child abuse registry check, as well as an updated first aid certification. I am familiar with working with children with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD and behavioural difficulties, often tailoring my care to the children's needs as they arise. I pride myself in open communication with parents, including written reports about their children's day when requested. To give you some information about myself, I am very physically active, including hiking, swimming, and being outdoors. I am passionate about designing sensory activities for children and exploring their ideas to help foster creativity throughout the day. My goal is to always build relationships with families and their children to provide them with positive and lasting memories each day I'm with them.
