I am a compassionate young adult who has had a year of experience working as a special services care aide and respite care worker for three young children between the ages of 3-11 who were on the Autism spectrum or had ADHD. I have volunteered with many children who had developmental delays and mobility issues. I have also taken care of many infants and small children throughout my teenage years, and am comfortable caring for multiple children at one time. I am a second-year university student at the U of A, and am currently learning ASL, capable of carrying basic conversations with those who are Deaf or hearing impaired. I am empathetic, hardworking and dedicated, and have always been drawn to working with children.
