Hey! I've worked at a non-profit special needs program for 6 months. 4 months of that was co-op, and 2 months of it was as a student counselor at their summer camp. I have spent a lot of time hands on with clients who had unique individual needs. I am capable of feeding, playing, giving sensory (lotion rubs, deep pressure, etc.), helping with homework, and I can assist in the bathroom if necessary. I have not learned how to change a client; however, I would be willing to learn how to properly change diapers and clothing. I am able to push wheelchairs as well as assist clients in walking if needed.
